Country

Here's a language camp that's made for younger students wanting their first taste of German away from home. Apart from bathing in a German environment, lots of fun activities and excursions are organised for the students. The gardens surrounding the campus means there are, (weather permitting of course!) the chance to have barbecues as well as play volleyball or use the table-tennis tables that are available.
The little campus is located about 50 km from Munich in the village of Josefstal, about 2km from Lake Schliersee at the foot of the Bavarian Alpes (at an altitude of about 800m) surrounded by gorgeous countryside. The students learn together and live together. Then after lessons, they participate in the instructor-led activities organised by the centre.

This camp has taken place every summer for many years, which means an experienced crew and a hassle-free stay, and attracts youngsters from about 40 different nationalities annually. It's limited numbers means that children are not overlooked and lost in the crowd.

German Courses

Every morning, Monday-Friday 4x45 minute German lessons (20 lessons per week) aimed at encouraging younger learners and improving their language skills

Excursions

Each week, students get to experience the region outside the camp. One full day excursion and one half-day trip are planned each week. Students are supervised at all times and will visit highlights of the region as well as Munich.

Activities

Here at Josefstal 2 activities a day are organised after class : sport, games, dances etc etc. All aimed at making sure kids and younger teenagers have fun! It's good to note that often there are young Germans at the centre (there to learn English) and they can also participate in the activities - giving kids a chance to practice what they've learnt.
There's also a programme of options on offer (extra fee payable). Tennis lessons (3 x 60 minutes/week) or football training (3 x 90 minutes/week)

Arrivals & Departures

Transfers to and from the camp from Munich are included in the price. To utilise these you need to make sure that your child arrives and departs within the times noted below. Arriving or leaving outside these times incur a supplementary fee for a private taxi transfer, and arriving or leaving on different days also incur an additional fee for extra nights. So to avoid these unnecessary extra costs... stay inside the window.
Some parents like to drive their children to the camp (or pick them up). Just let us know if you'd like this option - we still need to know your planned arrival/departure time.
You'll see the place on the reservation form to let us know whether you need a transfer or not.

Nous tenons à vous remercier vivement. Nos fils ont adoré leur séjour et considèrent avoir fait beaucoup de progrès en allemand, surtout à l'oral. Ils repartiront avec vous l'année prochaine probablement à Berlin.
