Have you always wanted to discover what it’s like to live in this iconic New York neighbourhood? If you’re looking for an authentic taste of the Big Apple, this is a great programme for you! Situated in the happening neighbourhood of Brooklyn, this English course is an incredible opportunity to discover a different side of the city. The programme combines language courses in the morning and an amazing array of activities in the afternoon. Take part in various arts classes such as dance, photography or theatre, visit some of the city’s incredible sites or spend time with your host family for a taste of local community and culture. Our recommendation: this programme is a great adventure to embark on if you’re a mature and independent adolescent.

English Courses

This programme consists of 15 hours of English lessons each week, which take place from Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 12:30 pm. 

In general...Students

  • are never alone (travel in pairs pair, excursions with school staff - always!)
  • can't go out in the evening alone from the residence (groups with a school leader may go out)
  • can't leave their family at night (their family can take them out if they decide to do so)

Activities et excursions

You’ll be given a tour of Brooklyn on Monday afternoon, so that you become better acquainted with the neighbourhood.  For the rest of the time, you’ll have a jam-packed agenda, so you certainly won’t find any time to get bored! Sundays are spent with your hosts, which is the perfect opportunity to discover daily life as a New Yorker.
In addition, the language school organises a dinner in Manhattan on Friday evening. Three excursions are organised every week by the language school: two half-day trips on Wednesday and Friday, and a full-day trip on Saturday (except for the Saturday of your departure). On these excursions, you’ll have the chance to visit some of New York’s famous sites including Top of the Rock, with amazing views over the city, Times Square, the Natural History Museum, MoMa, the Statue of Liberty, Staten Island and Central Park. Free time for shopping is of course set aside as well!

Monday - Walking tour around Brooklyn by locals
Tuesday - Visit the most famous landmarks - Empire State etc 
Wednesday - Summer in the City (Coney Island, see a baseball game)
Thursday - Educational and cultural visits (MoMA, The MET etc)
Friday - get social, go shopping, play sport in the park, bowling, followed by dinner in a restaurant
Saturday - Summer in the City (Statue of Liberty, Ellis Is.)
Sunday - Family day - get a little America in your soul...
