How can you get inside the gates of a private school in England in order to make the most of the experience, know-how and fantastic facilities available to learn English during the holidays? Well, here's an idea...! This wonderful school, normally only available to older students during the year as an excellent Sixth Form college, opens its doors to international students during the Easter and summer holidays to offer advanced English learning programmes. In this way, young students can make the most of everything on offer. During the year the school accepts student form 15 - 19 years old wanting to enter university in England, helping them prepare their A-Levels. So the campus is exceptionally well-equipped with all the latest materials and facilities. Because of its smaller size, the school is used to working personally with young adults, helping them achieve their goals. Ranked 38th in the Top 100 Schools of 2015, the professionalism it offers carries over to summer making for excellent courses. It's for this reason that we particularly like this programme and this school. There are few French speakers plus a great range of nationalities, but only 80 students in total in summer spread over 3 programmes. Less than an hour from London the school is open to students aged 9 - 17 during the Easter holidays but 13-17 in summer with English classes accompanied by great activities and excursions.

English courses

23 hours of English language lessons are provided qualified and experienced language teachers with a maximum of only 12 students in each class. To create class groups you'll take an English test on arrival and then once again when you leave to assess your progress.
Courses focus on reading, writing, and speaking. Themes are elaborated to facilitate debates, such as the weekly UNESCO debate (e.g. pollution, women's rights etc), news discussions, as well as critical thinking. Project time is also included in the course, such a s making a film or a radio show and presenting it to the entire school.
Trips are also an integral part of learning, as the will often write reviews of places visited and learn about the cultural aspects of the destinations. At the end of their course students also receive a certificate of attendance.

The summer programme for 13 - 17 year olds is for students with a minimum B1 level of English.

There are a few cool optional extras you can add either to your English courses or as activities:

- One-to-one English lessons (4 hours/week)
- Golf lessons (4 hours/week)
- Horse-riding (4 hours/week)
- Paintball (1 session)

PLUS: A London musical (e.g. The Lion King), Warner Bros Harry Potter Studios trip, The London Experience weekend - just ask us about these and how to book
