Country

We know all about the poor reputation of host families in England. Here the school works very hard to insure the well-being and security of its young students to make sure they have a happy and successful study abroad experience. We are fortunate that the school is the only school in the town, so there's no competition for home stays, and as a result they truly know all their families.

Importantly, all families have been police-checked (as is required in England), checked by the local government social services and are regularly visited by the school.

All families welcoming students guarantee:

  • no other students of the same nationality/mother tongue
  • a limited number of students per family (similar ages)
  • no adult students (over 18)

- Juniors (8-11) & Tweens (12-13)

Shared room, full-board (lunch for school made during the week)

Students on Juniors & Tweens courses are placed in families specialised in young students, who normally have children of their own. They'll look after the students and make sure they are in an environment that's adapted to their age. Sundays re spent with the home stay family.

A school bus is used to take students to and from school every day.

- Teenagers (14-17) & Young Adults (16-18)

Single room, half-board

Here students are placed with families who are great with this age group. There will generally either be a child or another student (from the school) in the family. Access to the school is normally on foot, families are close enough, or occasionally on the local bus (a 5 minute ride).

Shared rooms re only available in summer.

Lunches during the week: There is a very small shop at the school and around the school lots of places for students to buy a sandwich etc for about £5 a day. On Sundays, lunch is included.

Medical/Dietary requests

Please note: the school must be informed regarding any medical conditions and/or treatment and special dietary requirements.
An extra fee may be charged by the school for special diets (gluten, lactose, halal, kosher...), and allergy requirements.
Please tell us when booking!
