The focus of this programme is simply that its participants have an incredible time. Based on the philosophy that having fun is integral to successful learning, students come from around the world to learn English in an international environment. Participants in this camp go home not just having improved their English but having had an unforgettable summer!

With 36 years of English language teaching experience and an awesome selection of activities and excursions, it’s no wonder that King Edward’s has become such a popular destination. This language school boasts excellent facilities including a sports hall, sports fields and even a swimming pool! Its enthusiastic staff are a big reason that this camp has proven so popular over the years, with students returning year after year.

Your study aboard English language course will take place in the confines of this famous English boarding school, established in 1553. Children and adolescents are supervised 24 hours a day on this amazing campus and meals are served in one of the most beautiful dining rooms around!

Option STEM :

  • 15hr English + 7.5h STEM (workshops) per week
  • The aim of the STEM option is to stimulate students interest in the se critical subjects in a fun way, putting theory in practice.
  • STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics

Option Art :

  • 15hr English + 7.5h Arts per week.
  • Choose between music, dance or art.


Option Activities:

  • 20hr English per week with fun activities and sports in the afternoons

English Courses

Courses here are for students studying English at an elementary level. The teachers are experts at motivating their students and helping them take full advantage of their time. Any fear of speaking or making mistakes in English is quickly eliminated through fun, interactive and engaging lessons. Upon arrival students are tested to evaluate their English, and then grouped into one of six levels to work towards the Trinity Spoken English exam. English lessons are taught for 20 hours a week, and a course book and school report are given to all students at the end of their programme.


Participants on this study abroad English language camp will also have the opportunity to explore various parts of the UK every week on two full day trips and two half day trips. All excursions are accompanied and monitored by school staff.


Activities take place in the afternoons and are organised around a large selection of sports and hobbies. The goal for students to continue speaking English and learn new vocabulary as they participate in activities. Everyone is encouraged to experiment with the phrases they’ve learned wherever possible! With English as a common trait, new friendships are quickly formed and interactions encouraged right until bedtime! This programme has activities planned every evening of the summer camp, ensuring that students continue to learn, explore and have as much fun as possible.

Arrivals and Departures

Please make sure to book your arrival according to the timetable indicated below. Transfers in groups from airports and train stations are organised by the school. However, if you arrive outside of the timetable a surcharge will be incurred, as a private taxi must be organised.

Accompanied transfers must be reserved as soon as your place on this course has been confirmed.

Please note that, in accordance with UK Border Control rules and regulations, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times whilst in the airport/international station. Therefore, if your child’s flight/train departure time is booked outside of standard transfer times, Out Of Hours Transfer fees will apply. Students cannot wait by themselves.
