Whistler and the town’s surroundings are a place of incredible beauty, filled with wildlife and boundless opportunities to try out all kinds of sports! Our study abroad language camps take place during July and August, one of the most beautiful times of the year here. Leaves turn yellow, red and orange and forests take on a magical mysticism during the autumnal period. This is a great time to go on a summer camp in Whistler! You can choose between two options for your study abroad camp in Whistler:
English + Activities:
This programme combines English language classes with an array of exciting outdoor activities from the Teen Adventure programme.
This course is designed for adolescents who are looking for summer camp focused on activities and outings. You’ll need a good level of English to enrol in this programme. English speaking Canadians and Americans also attend.
Whichever course you decide to pick, your trip to Canada will be an unforgettable one! You’ll have the chance to make new friends, discover a new part of the world and learn to become more independent.
If you choose to enrol in English + Activities, you’ll also perfect your language skills in the classroom. On the other hand, Teen Adventure is ideal for 13 to 17 year olds who are looking to spend an active summer surrounded by English-speakers and professional staff.
These two camps offer similar activities and excursions.
English + Activities caters for international students (or Canadian Québécois!) who are looking to take English lessons in addition to participating in amazing excursions. English classes are taught at the language school in Whistler, just ten minutes away by bus from the residence.
Teen Adventure is for adolescents who want to practice speaking English outside of the classroom. You’ll be surrounded by English speaking students as you take part in awesome activities, including biking, swimming and sports tournaments. You’ll also learn a lot through visits to various exhibitions, studying ancient forests and trail hiking through beautifully preserved nature. Most activities for both programmes take place around the residence. Camping outings are planned as well as additional activities if you’ve got the energy! These include skiing and snowboarding on glaciers (for experienced skiers!), trekking, rafting and horse-riding!
Our English language camps take security very seriously, especially when it comes to adventurous activities. Highly trained staff will accompany you on all activities and outings. Staff members all have the requisite diplomas in addition to years of professional experience. Prior to each camp, they undertake specific courses to ensure they’re qualified to supervise all adventure-based activities. Not to worry, you’ll be in great hands! Furthermore, staff are all highly motivated, enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills, which is important in creating a fun and secure atmosphere. Supervisors have been carefully selected for their sense of responsibility and security, while facilities and scheduled excursions are all planned to the highest standards.
