Established in 1999, ALCE language school offers the highest quality Italian language courses and out of this world cultural experiences to its students. In a friendly atmosphere, you’ll follow an Italian programme that has delivered results time and again. The language teachers prioritise strong relationships with students so that all objectives are reached together throughout the course. Bringing it even greater appeal, ALCE language school relocated to the historic centre of Bologna for its 10th Anniversary. You’ll study Italian surrounded by walls steeped in history, in modern, well-equipped, modern classrooms only a short walk to the student residence. In 2015 they've renovated even more to use all the latest technologies.
With only a small number of students per class and 60-minute language lessons, you’re guaranteed to progress as rapidly as possible. If you enrol in an intensive Italian language course, then you’ll also have access to free seminars. Consisting of two lessons covering various themes, you’ll engage in conversation and debate, discussions on current events and discover Bologna’s traditions and local culture.

Outside of School
ALCE language school goes to great efforts to show its students all there is to discover in Bologna and ensure they have a great time. Guided tours of the medieval town’s backstreets, churches and other historical sites, including the “sotterranea”, Bologna’s ancient underground waterways, are a great way to explore the city. Add to that, visits to museums and galleries, Italian cooking classes and lots of parties and evenings out! Language exchange evenings are also hosted by the school, where you’ll meet Italian students learning a foreign language and lean together. You certainly won’t run out of things to do during your Italian language course in Bologna!
