Looking for a serious tennis-only programme all in English - or perhaps a programme of tennis and English lessons? Then look no further.
Here you can get top quality coaching in one of 2 centres: Lancing (for English & Tennis), or for serious players, the National Tennis Centre (Tennis only, English & tennis).
On all camps you'll live on campus with other teenagers from all over Europe, take English lessons, get tennis coaching, have fun, make friends and go on awesome excursions outside of tennis time.

NB: These are programmes for kids of varying abilities who enjoy tennis. If you are really, really good and you are looking for a super-serious tennis programme for top players - ask us. We have one, but this is not it!

Tennis programmes

There are two programmes available at three centres:

1. English & Tennis

On this programme you'll receive 12.5 hours of English per week and 20 hours of Tennis coaching. This is available at all 3 centres.

2. Total Tennis

This is for the tennis players who want to improve their game with up to 34 hours per week of tennis activities. There are no English lessons, but all coaching (in fact everything) is in English.

On all tennis programmes with or without English lessons you'll get great coaching in a fun, positive atmosphere. All aspects of the game will be covered depending on the level of the player, including tactics, technique, physical training, power, movement, court and game management. There is a ratio of maximum 6 players for each coach. You'll need to be ready to play lots of matches, meet on-court challenges and try to beat your coach! There's even video-analysis available.

English lessons

All English courses are given by a team of qualified, dynamic teachers. Generally the English lessons take place in the afternoons (see the example timetable below) with the first part of the course focussing on General English. There's an evaluation of your level on the first day, so it doesn't matter if you're very good or very bad (!) there'll be a class at the right level for you.
The aim of these courses is to get each participant using the language, learning vocabulary and phrases covering different topics each day. Grammar of course, underpins every lesson. Classes are designed to be fun using the CLIL approach to language learning (used by the world's best language schools) and include games and activities to help learning. The maximum number of students in a class is 16 and everyone receives a certificate at the end of the course noting how they did and their level.

Excursions are included on the weekends as well as during the week and vary according to the centre (because of the location). As long as it's not during the Wimbledon Championships, there's a visit to the All England Club (Wimbledon), visits to  Brighton Beach (for Lancing students). With some luck you may get to explore the origins of the game of tennis at Radley College, part of the National Trust.

After tennis

Outside of language lessons and tennis training the staff of each centre are present to make sure you are well looked after. There's a whole range of relaxing and amusing activities planned for your free time. In the evenings, from about 7.30pm (after dinner) the activities start. And don't worry, yes, you'll even find a bit of time for yourself.

Arrivals and departures

Like other camps airport welcomes and returns are organised by the school (in conjunction with us). We'll need your flight details. Please note the information below about arrival days and times. This is really important if you want to avoid paying a large surcharge for a private, out of hours transfer.

Airport transfers from:

- Heathrow (LHR)
- Gatwick (LGW)

£95 (one-way) £190 (return)

Prices apply if the prescribed times are respected.
Out of hours transfers possible - £150 one-way surcharge payable.
